Kung Fu Panda was the unexpected winner last Friday night at the 36th annual Annie Awards. The animated feature length comedy took home the prize for best animation plus fourteen other awards including best direction and character design. Dustin Hoffman was named best voice actor for his vocal portrayal of Shifu, a surly martial arts guru in the winning movie.

When a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country, The American President is persuaded by General W.R. Monger to enlist a motley crew of Monsters to combat the Alien Robot and save the world from imminent destruction. ‘Monsters Vs. Aliens’ is directed by Rob Letterman and Conrad Vernon, produced by Lisa Stewart and co-produced by Jill Hooper & Latifa Ouaou.
